When it came to dressing for this European Premier, I thought to myself, “ What would the dress code be?”

“White as Snow

Red as Blood”

However I went with blue and white and my lovely date, the fairest of them all, Caroline Kent went in the colours of the evil Stepmother..Black.

But it all worked out as all eyes were diverted from us and on this incredible cast, especially Stewart & Charlize Theron who wore matching see-through dresses. Kristen Stewart dazzled in a dramatic black gown. The actress chose a full-length Marchesa floors weeping dress with intricate lace detailing to walk the red carpet in London.

The elaborate design featured sheer illusion netting embroidered with silver detailing and strategically placed black lace panels on the tight bodice before widening out into a see-through lace skirt.

The brunette beauty wore her hair in a simple up do and kept her make-up relatively simple, perhaps as to not draw attention away from the head-turning frock.

Kristen accessorised the ensemble with only a couple of plain silver rings and chic black pumps. However, Kristen’s trusty trainers weren’t far away as she chose to change into her comfy flats immediately after completing her red carpet duties.  while the Twilight actress, 22, chose a lacy number by Marchesa, which she teamed with black trainers.

“I love what I’m wearing but I can’t wait to take this thing off,” said Stewart.

The actress added: “I swear I’m wearing these shoes because I hurt myself. I know that I would look better in the heels.”

*I also have a great clip of her struggling to wear the hills in the cinema, taking them off like a mental patient releasing herself from a straightjacket and running down the aisle like she was running to meet Rob Pattinson – see clip below *

Co-star Charlize Theron looked equally show-stopping in another smouldering black gown by Christian Dior Couture.

The South African born Hollywood beauty channelled gothic glamour in the sheer number, which featured a tight bodice with a nude-coloured underlay and a full see-through pleated skirt. Charlize, who plays the evil Queen Ravenna in the movie, opted for a pair of fierce black sandals and an emerald bracelet, drop earrings and cocktail ring to accessorise the gown and a see through dress that made it hard for me to talk to her without diverting my eyes from her chest. In fact even when we shared a few words in our native tongue of Afrikaans I stuttered like a man possessed , and it had nothing to do with been rusty and everything to do with the ability to see her décolletage.

The stunning blonde chose dramatic smoky eye make-up and a sleek side twist hairstyle to add to the dramatic effect of the gorgeous couture design.

The Oscar winner Theron, 36, was joined by new father Chris Hemsworth, Sam Claflin, Ray Winstone, Ian McShane, Nick Frost, Eddie Marsan and Toby Jones – who all play dwarves – at London’s Leicester Square, which was transformed into an enchanted forest.

Rupert Sanders’ directorial debut is a modern take on the classic fairytale and sees the feisty princess train alongside the huntsman in the art of war to take on the evil queen.

In the film, the costumes worn by Charlize Theron would have made Daphne Guiness scream with envy, as they were ornate, elaborate and simply exquisite. This film is a twist to the fairy tale we all have come to know thanks to Disney and the like with the Huntsman ordered to take Snow White into the woods to be killed winds up becoming her protector and mentor in a quest to vanquish the Evil Queen. As this was no ordinary fairy tale and with no ordinary actors taking up the reins to play them. Kristen Stewart ( famous Vampire) played Snow White, Charlize Theron( Oscar winner for Monster)played the evil Stepmother , Chris Hemsworth ( Thor) the Huntsman and Sam Calfin was Prince Charming in Snow White and the Huntsman.ImageImageImageImage

Of course before I complete this article I must mention the little people, and No I do not mean the crew who worked long hours to create darkly fantastic visuals and provocative costumes but by the eight dwarves. Yes, in Snow White and the Huntsman there are eight …led by Ian McShane with Sam Claflin, Ray Winstone, Ian McShane, Nick Frost, Eddie Marsan and Bob Hoskins. They are great with excellent comedic timing and a hint of the macabre in all of them although I have to give special ( well deserved) mention to Nicholas John “Nick” Frost  for his portrayal. See the film and you will see why, trust me.

For those hard core film buffs reading this article because Empire magazine online has crashed, a little about the filmy stuff. The Visuals are partly by art Director Andrew Ackland ( Harry Potter) and three – time Oscar- winner Collen Atwood ( of Alice in Wonderland and Sleepy Hollow fame). Oh..you want more do you ? The film is based on a screenplay retooled( that IS a film word!) by Hossein Amini, who is responsible for penning Drive and the impending ( and insanely awesome-looking) 47 Ronin Adaption coming to destroy your mind at a cinema near you soon.So what does that mean ? Rupert Sanders may be a first time feature – length film maker straight from video game commercial directing but he has the right people to give this film, the right stuff !!

Snow White And The Huntsman hits UK cinemas on May 30, but I would offer you this sage advice,  SAY NO to anyone who offers you an apple, EVER. Sure, they might be trying to make sure you get your five-a-day, but they might also be trying to  kill you, so better safe than sorry plus who eats apples anymore anyway..they are so old fashioned.

See the cast and crew inside the cinema here – with a sneak peak, like you were there too –

  1. Twilight Saga is one of the best movies ever, I love Kirsten Stewart and of course the story is just the best. There would be no other movie like Twilight. “.;”,
